Requirements
- 1
Occupation on the nominating state's list and a positive skills assessment
- 2
Under 45 at invitation, competent English or better
- 3
At least 65 points including the 5 nomination points; many states require more
- 4
State-specific requirements: work experience, a job offer, or ties to the state
- 5
Commitment to live in the nominating state for at least two years
For most Indian applicants this is the most realistic permanent route: the nomination adds points and states select from their own pool rather than the national queue. The trade-off is commitment, usually two years living and working in the nominating state.
